Step 2 - Identify the beginning of the play
At the beginning of the play, press the "Mark Begin" button. You may press "Mark Begin" as many times as you like, thus adjusting the starting point of the play in the clip list. If you are working with live video or video from tape in MotionClip! PRO then pressing "Mark Begin" will also initiate video capture to your hard drive.

Step 3 - Mark the end of the play
Continue to observe the action until the play comes to an end. Press the "Mark End" button. You will see the ending frame in the bottom "clip preview" window. The play has now been identified. If you are clipping from live video or tape then video capture to your hard drive will be suspended at this point. If you have "AutoStop" enabled MotionClip! will also pause the video tape or video file at this point, giving you an opportunity to adjust the play parameters or enter textual commentary about the play you just identified. Text you enter will appear in movies you create later, and will also be available in MotionView!.

Step 4 - Enter text describing the play and the results (optional)
Once you've entered the text, and set the appropriate play parameters, press the "Update" button. Your clip list will be updated with the new content. If you enabled "AutoStep" then MotionClip! will automatically insert a new empty clip, begin video playback or capture from tape or video file, and prepare to identify the next play, with no keystrokes required!

Continue pressing "Begin", "End", and "Update" as each play transpires to collect all of your clips into one file.  Next page -->
